Good location but overly priced for a glorified hostel
      • What did you like most?
Location was great and staff were helpful. The place was really quiet.
      • Was there anything you didn't like?
The environment felt uncomfortably restrictive. During the day, it was so silent that it felt like we were on detention, as if we could only whisper and were constantly worried about disturbing someone. It did not feel welcoming or relaxed. At night and early in the morning, however, the noise issue was the opposite. Guests frequently did not fully close the bathroom doors, and we could clearly hear loud conversations and hair dryers. Unfortunately, my room shared a wall directly with the bathroom, which made this especially disruptive when trying to sleep. There was also inadequate lighting in the room. It was extremely difficult to see while packing or organizing our belongings, especially early in the morning. The lack of proper lighting added unnecessary stress. Additionally, both my friend and I had very frustrating experiences with the washing machines. We each spent over four hours trying to wash a very small load, yet our clothes were still dripping wet afterward. We waited the entire morning expecting them to dry and ended up missing our museum reservation because we didn’t have dry clothes as anticipated. The 2-in-1 washer/dryer units appear to be malfunctioning. We ultimately had to pack our wet clothes in plastic bags and rewash everything at our next hotel. Overall, the stay felt like paying premium pricing for what is essentially a glorified hostel marketed as an “experience”, but one that was neither exciting nor worth the cost. Our other hotels throughout Japan were not only significantly nicer and more comfortable, but also less expensive. This stay did not reflect the value advertised.

Great stay! I will be back.
      • What did you like most?
10/10 recommend for solo travellers. The pods were pretty spacious if you were smart with your organization. My large check in suitcase and carry on fit under the bed. The toilets and showers were always clean. The breakfast was pretty good. The common area had good vibes, and the free beer hour was a nice touch. The staff was also very helpful. It was also very quiet in the pod area. The location is great.
      • Was there anything you didn't like?
I don’t like that you can’t eat or drink in the pods. I understand why, just sometimes I want to relax with a drink and not be around other people.
